The book now in it's fifth edition, lists, describes and prices every know piece of Crested China. It incorporates the history of every factory, where known, now numbering over 300, and over 500 marks. The author has now incorporated all information originally published in Crested China by Sandy Andrews, updated for 2000, resulting in a massive fount of information available in one book for the first time.
Particulars of over 10,000 pieces are given with their dimensions and relevant details where thought to be of interest. The Guide contains a complete listing of all pieces made by every factory. The history of and all know information about over 300 factories is provided and a mass of other exciting facts answer all the questions that collectors ask such as 'Why does the same piece appear with a different factory mark?' 'Why do some pieces have no crests, factory mark or name?' 'Why are some pieces numbered?' etc, etc.
In addition to all this information, over 500 line drawings of factory marks are shown to aid identification, the majority of which are not shown in any other of the usual books on marks.
The story of how the trade expanded and some of the colourful characters involved is also told.
Every item is priced at approximately the current retail price charged by Goss & Crested China Ltd.
The Guide contains a special easy-to-use section of nearly 1000 illustrations, each described and priced, providing a quick reference for the expert, novice and dealer who wants a quick visual guide to identification and price.
